David M. Ellison, MD
David M. Ellison, MD is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. A graduate of Yale University and Duke University School of Medicine, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital and his fellowship at Duke University in Hematology/Oncology.
George F. Geils, Jr., MD
George F. Geils, Jr., MD is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. He is the Medical Director for the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program for Roper St. Francis Healthcare. A graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina, he completed his residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and his fellowship at The University of Alabama.
Brian Greenwell, MD
Dr. Brian Greenwell is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He earned his B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from Clemson University and subsequently his M.D. from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2012.
George Keogh, MD
George Keogh, MD is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Hematology. He completed his fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Gene Saylors, MD
Gene B. Saylors, MD is board-certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from The University of South Carolina School of Medicine and completed his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Nicholas J. Schmidt Jr., MD
Nicholas J. Schmidt Jr., M.D., is a board-certified physician in internal medicine, oncology, and hematology with Charleston Oncology. He graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College M.D. with a B.S. in biology

Ashley Jeter, MD
Ashley Jeter, MD is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. She completed internal medicine residency and hematology and oncology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Douglas Michaelsen, MD
Douglas Michaelsen, MD is a graduate of Bowman Gray School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina and is board-certified to practice in internal medicine and medical oncology.
Charles Holladay, MD, FACP
Charles Holladay, MD, FACP is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology. A South Carolina native, Dr. Holladay joined Charleston Oncology in 2001. He is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina where he also completed his residency and fellowship.
Michael C. Marte, MD
Dr. Marte completed his medical degree at the prestigious Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. He further honed his skills through a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.

Biography
Eliza C. Hough, PA-C is a board-certified physician assistant. Eliza graduated Cum Laude from Clemson University in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and later received her Masters’s in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2009. She is a proud Charleston native who enjoys many things in her free time including inshore or offshore fishing with her husband and learning about photography. Professional memberships include the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Golden Key National Honor Society.

Rachel Henderson, PA-C
Biography
Rachel Henderson, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant. Rachel graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University in 2018 with a degree in pre-professional health sciences and a minor in biology. In 2019, she moved to Charleston, SC, where she worked in phase 1 oncology clinical trials, working with advanced solid tumor patients of all varieties at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Hollings Cancer Center. Rachel then went on to get her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at MUSC and graduated in 2022. Following PA school, she completed a 1-year elective Advanced Practitioner fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Levine Cancer in Charlotte, NC, where she rotated between various subspecialties to learn more about the field and advance her skills. She was inspired to enter the field of hematology/oncology to honor her dad, who battled lymphoma years ago, and to provide exemplary care to patients undergoing similar journeys. As a SC native, she enjoys spending time with friends and family nearby.

Biography
Lydia Romeo, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant. Originally from New Jersey, Lydia went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in public health from the University of Rhode Island. She later received a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from the Medical University of South Carolina. While studying to become a physician assistant, Lydia found her passion for hematology & oncology while completing a clinical rotation with Charleston Oncology. In her free time she enjoys the beach, staying active and spending time with friends.
